Atlanta Half Marathon Start Waves

All participants in the Atlanta Half Marathon have been assigned to one of five start waves (Wave A - Wave E) based on the anticipated finish time submitted at registration.  Participants will need to line up in the correct waves indicated on their race numbers. All participants should be in their waves 15 - 20 minutes prior to the start. Below are the start times for each individual wave:

  • 7:30 a.m. Wave A
  • 7:35 a.m. Wave B
  • 7:40 a.m. Wave C
  • 7:45 a.m. Wave D
  • 7:50 a.m. Wave E

If you would like to run with someone assigned to a different start wave, you may do so by starting with the wave that is farthest back.  For example, if your number is in Wave A and your friend’s number is in Wave C, you may both run together in Wave C.
